WHO WE ARE
Las Amigas, Incorporated is a national women's organization founded in 1957 to enhance the quality of life and promote the general improvement of the communities in which we serve.
Las Amigas, translated as "The Friends", convenes annually at our National Conclave to further the organization's programmatic thrusts: education, family, health, political awareness, and economic development.
2019 Conclave Charlotte, North Carolina
To enhance the quality of life and promote the general improvement of the communities in which we serve. To encourage personal and professional growth, and foster a closer relationship among members.
Recruit, develop and retain members who share our values and are committed to our mission.
Dedicate our resources to making this world a better place now and for future generations, one community at a time.
Build an infrastructure that will serve Las Amigas, Incorporated's needs into the next century.
Build an organization that will flourish and be a well-recognized leader among community service organizations nationally and internationally.
Las Amigas, Incorporated's vision continues to unfold as chapters in Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia reach out to help others.
To foster a closer relationship and a fuller exchange of ideas among members.
To further the enhancement and development of our communities through cultural and civic service.
To encourage such other actions as are necessary and proper, and as allowed by law to implement and attain the purposes for which Las Amigas was organized.
These purposes are embodied in Las Amigas, Incorporated projects - including the Comfort of Love national blanket initiative, which focuses on providing warmth and comfort through the act and service of gifting comforters and blankets to meet the needs of individuals and families in our communities.
